Being Patriotic via Instagram

I think it’s possible to be anti-Trump (and the incoming administration) without being anti-American. With homesickness starting to kick in and simultaneously having to hear so much anti-American sentiment lately abroad (including from myself), I think a reminder of how amazingly beautiful, colorful and diverse my country is would be perfect right about now. Getting Tropical Without Leaving the Continental US: Captiva Island

Located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, just west of Fort Myers, are two pristine sister islands: Sanibel Island and Captiva Island. Two of my best friends recently got married, destination wedding style, in Captiva Island. Before the wedding activities, I’d never spent time on the West Coast of Florida before. Anyone that I’d told I was going beforehand, would start RAVING about how gorgeous it was and how much I was going to love it.
